DA to intervene in Brian Molefe’s Labour Court case against Eskom

Opposition Party, Democratic Alliance (DA) to intervene in Brain Molefe’s Labour Court case against his former employer Eskom. This comes after the Labour Courts decision to granted the party powers to intervene with costs.

The DA is now a full respondent in the court case between the former Eskom Group Chief Executive Officer, Brian Molefe and Eskom, will therefore be able to argue the substantive issues pertaining the reappointment of Molefe, starting on Thursday, 29 June 2017.

Brian Molefe argues that he has never stopped to an Eskom employee despite a public resignation and and demand an urgent reinstatement while the DA will argue that Molefe’s reappointment was completely irrational and illegal.

The matter will be heard this August in the Labour Court.
