Former President Thabo Mbeki has warned members of the executives and the top politicians in the country against the abuse of state power.
Speaking in an interview with Power FM Chairperson Given Mkhari on Thursday evening #MbekiOnPower he said access to state power can be abused for personal enrichment.
He urged on Citizen to do whatever is necessary to ensure that in-charge of the government don’t abuse that access to state resources and administrative power.
“Avoid being driven by what appears to be popular opinion.” said Thabo Mbeki
“So you must be able to justify the steps that you are taking not on the basis that you are going to get a very good newspaper headline but because what you are going to say is going to produce a positive result that you need.”
He also has warned that the term ‘White Monopoly Capital’ should not be used to mislead the public.
Thabo Mbeki was ousted from power in the African National Congress by President Jacob Zuma supported by the SACP’s, Blade Nzimande, Cosatu’s Zwelinzima Vavi, and ANC Youth League’s Julius Malema
#ThaboMbeki and Trevor Manuel have driven the country out of a recession that was global. Zuma created one, and he is clueless.
