Robert Mugabe refuses to negotiate exit plan with the Zimbabwean Army

According to the local reports, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has refused to negotiate his exit plan with the Zimbabwean military generals following the attempted coup which put the governance in the country to stand-still.

The 93-year-old revolutionary has insisting that he can only be removed via a party leadership vote, not a coup.

A Catholic priest has been rumoured to be mediating a potential political exit for Zimbabwe President and his family including a safe protective passage to seek a political asylum the neighboring countries such as Namibia, Angola, or South Africa.

The Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Morgan Tsvangirai has fled South Africa back into his country for the so-called a post-Mugabe political settlement amid rumours of interim government.

President Jacob Zuma has sent the special envoy let by the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and the Minister of State Security, Adv Bongani Bongo to Zimbabwe to meet with President Robert Mugabe and the Zimbabwean Defence Force.
