Guptas gets warrant against EFF to recover litigation cost

Guptas granted powers to auction the EFF Headquarters in Braamfontein

According to reports, the Guptas has been given powers by the Sherrif to cease, auction or take control of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Headquarters  property.

The EFF could lose property worth about R180,000 from their head office in Johannesburg after the Guptas obtained a court order to have it moved and auctioned off, News24 reported on Thursday.

News24 reported that the sheriff’s office has been instructed to seize “movable goods” at the party’s headquarters in Braamfontein in order to cover the Guptas’ legal costs in an an earlier battle with EFF leader Julius Malema and his party.

This is in relation to the interdict secured by the Guptas from the North Gauteng High Court granted the Guptas  prohibiting Julius Malema and the EFF from issuing threats of violence against the Gupta family and its employees.

In a tweet, the Guptas confirmed:

No response from the EFF on the matter but we will keep you posted…
