The ANC Women’s League to lobby for Nomvula Mokonyane into the ANC Top-6, but the key is Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma for President
The National Executive Committee of the African National Congress Women’s League says the are going to lobby for more women into the party’s national top six.
Member of the ANC Women’s League currently sitting in the ANC’s National Top-6 are Baleka Mbete who is serving as the Chairperson of the party and Jessie Duarte who is the Deputy secretary.
This time the ANCWL under the leadership of Bathabile Dlamini wants more sit in the ANC top structure to be allocated to their members.
In a statement, the Women’s League announced that they will be lobbying for for Baleka Mbete, Jessie Duarte, Nosiviwe Mapisa – Nqakula, Lindiwe Sisuslu, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane and Nomvula Mokonyane to be considered in the other 5 of the 6 official positions of the African National Congress in December 2017.
“Of importance is the decision that Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma is a Presidential candidate of the ANCWL and nobody else.” said the Women’s League
In basic terms the league will be contesting for all six positions in the ANC’s National top six..
